Christiana Solomou

Christiana Solomou, from Paphos, is one of the most decorated players in Cypriot women’s football. Her career has taken in college football in the United States, spells abroad with Barcelona FA and Sparta Prague, and sustained success in Cyprus with Apollon Ladies and Salamina WFC. After a two-year break from the game she returned to professional football with Peyia-Akamas Ladies FC, keen to help build a strong professional women’s team in the Paphos area. She describes her best moment in football to date as a key Champions League victory over Umeå with Apollon Ladies to reach the round of 32.

Christiana is married and has a Barbie-loving three-year-old daughter, as well as a dog called Kudi.
